Summary The Sr Learning and Development (L&D) Business Partner provides consultative services, builds partnerships with functional stakeholders, and coordinates with the L&D team to drive project management for the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) for learning experiences that support the priorities of the L & D organization and needs of the customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Education, Communication or related field
  • 5 or more years of experience conducting learning needs assessments, leveraging learning management systems, and collaborating on comprehensive, diverse learning and development projects for a variety of workplace audiences
  • Ability to travel up to 5 to 10%
  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to work on-site as directed by management and as determined by the needs of the business
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

Nice To Haves

  • Member of ATD
  • Advanced degree in instructional design, organizational development, education, communication or related field
  • APTD or CPTD through Association of Talent and Development or HR Certification
  • Experience as instructional designer or training program management or facilitator
  • Experience in manufacturing or technical business

Responsibilities

  • Engage with assigned division Sr. Directors, Directors and Sr. Leaders to review strategic training initiatives, methodologies and timelines.
  • Review course feedback for corrections, engage course owners for proposed changes and review content to determine effectiveness of training material.
  • Prioritize workload of projects to meet strategic needs of the business through Project Management tools and tactics.
  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders and subject matter experts to determine optimum performance solutions, learning or alternative, to achieve performance goals
  • Review curricula and learning assignments, and drive compliance to learning requirements, for areas of responsibility while ensuring enterprise alignment
  • Contribute to complex design and development project teams to drive improvements to learning programs with demonstrated strong project management practices and execution
  • Develop relationships and networks across Honeywell FM&T, the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE), commercial industry, and the KCNSC to leverage existing resources and processes, and maintain currency on initiatives
  • Guide compliance in learning requirements
  • Utilize learning metrics and analytics to measure impact of learning solutions and recommend continuous improvement methods
  • Work with L&D staff on high impact instructional design, structure, and content creation
