Sr Java Developer
About The Position
OmniTrust Technologies is seeking a senior Java developer with a strong telecommunications background for a long-term contract assignment in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a 100% onsite role for client Charter Communications. The developer will participate in all stages of the software development life cycle, including solution design, implementation, and deployment. The role is hands-on and requires strong object-oriented programming and system design skills. The ideal candidate is passionate about learning and improving, brings innovative ideas, communicates proactively, documents work clearly, and works effectively both independently and as part of a team. They should be detail-oriented, adaptable to changing requirements, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Telecommunications background is mandatory.
- Strong experience with Core Java.
- Strong experience with Kafka.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience developing microservices using Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with the Spring Framework, including Spring MVC, Spring AOP, Spring Actuator, Spring Cloud, and Spring Config.
- Experience developing web services using REST or SOAP.
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases.
- Experience with project build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Knowledge of automated code build and deployment tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo.
- Knowledge of code version control tools such as SVN or Git.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Mockito, PowerMock, or JUnit.
- Strong object-oriented and system design skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proactive communication, clear documentation, attention to detail, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Agile or Scrum.
- Knowledge of multithreading and Hibernate.
