The Sr Technical Learning Specialist facilitates training courses, executes course logistics, develops learning assets, leads training initiatives, and provides training for other trainers. This person is a technical expert relative to the coordination, administration, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in training and/or development methodologies and/or related proven experience as an instructor or course developer
  • Bachelor's degree in education, business, social science, or technical field with an emphasis on training and development, or two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
  • United States Citizenship
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates training aligned to business strategy.
  • Develops & conducts train-the trainer workshops.
  • Schedules course offerings, communicates with learner/management regarding course attendance, conduct analysis & determine current course offerings are meeting need, proactively schedule additional course offerings to meet demand.
  • Leads the design and development of learning assets for use with training programs.
  • Leads efforts to evaluate existing training programs for effectiveness, implements improvements, and assesses effectiveness of improvements.
  • Utilizes surveys and other data gathering techniques to analyze performance against customer expectations and to identify and implement future requirements.
  • Works with subject matter experts to develop effective, efficient solutions to meet learning requirements.
  • Develop relationships and networks across Honeywell, the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE), commercial industry, and the KCNSC to leverage existing resources, processes, and initiatives.
