This role is part of the Surface Transportation organization, expanding its Fleet Management business to support all Middle Mile assets (tractors, trailers, box trucks, hostlers). The position requires strong leadership, trend identification with limited data, and cross-functional collaboration to drive the development of the maintenance business. The Industry Specialist will define the vision, roadmap, and program execution for the Fleet Management business, focusing on maximizing uptime and reducing costs for non-powered assets. A key responsibility is building and scaling a Vendor Quality Audit Program to establish an accountability framework for repair standards, defect reduction, and Mean Time Between Groundings (MTBG). Success depends on the ability to analyze large datasets, identify failure trends, and translate data into actionable decisions. Additionally, the role will own the strategy and execution for the Electric Vehicle (EV) asset space within Middle Mile, aiming to drive asset reliability and improve MTBG for EVs like hostlers. This involves identifying and addressing root cause failure patterns, including propulsion system defects, VMRS data gaps, and recurring downtime drivers, to enhance asset health and meet performance targets. The role requires deep asset-level analytical rigor, collaborating with OEM partners, 3P vendors, and internal stakeholders to identify failure trends, validate repair outcomes, and ensure fleet performance meets standards.
