About The Position

Mueller Water Products is seeking a Human Resources Senior Generalist to support their Smart Water Infrastructure team across Canada and the US. This is a hands-on role that combines strategic HR partnership, HR operational responsibilities and full-cycle recruiting ownership for the Canadian market. This position will report directly to the HR Director and will be located at our Toronto office, with hybrid work arrangements available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent education and experience
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a fast-paced matrixed environments (Tech, SaaS, Financial, or other dynamic, matrixed organizations)
  • Experience supporting employees outside of Canada
  • Digital and Data fluency

Nice To Haves

  • CPHR/SHRM highly desirable
  • Experience utilizing Workday and Kronos for project time tracking is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Act as liaison between our employees and leadership to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations
  • Manage all recruiting efforts and processes in Canada, partnering with recruitment team in US, and support recruitment internationally as needed
  • Maintain associate personnel files, ensure documents and manuals are kept current, accurate, confidential, and in compliance with company policies and government regulations
  • Complete all time keeping related tasks for payroll processing
  • Effectively administer and track absence programs including vacation, worker’s compensation, medical and personal leaves
  • Conduct internal investigations as needed
  • Partner with leadership team in hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety and policy compliance
  • Understand concepts related to total rewards, processes, and employee communications
  • Manage and assist in counseling employees and conducting exit interviews
  • Conduct periodic audits and report audit findings and make recommendations for correction of unsatisfactory conditions, or improvements related to compliance
  • Routinely audit employment law postings for accuracy and adherence to established guidelines and applicable federal, provincial and state laws
  • All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities
