About The Position

Responsible for the design, configuration, administration, and optimization of Workday solutions that support enterprise headcount planning and workforce analytics, with primary ownership of Workday Adaptive Planning, Workday Prism Analytics, Workday reporting, and Discovery Boards. Partners with Human Resources, Finance/FP&A, Information Technology, and business stakeholders to translate planning and analytics needs into scalable models, data pipelines, reports, dashboards, and self-service insights. Ensures data integrity, security, reconciliation, documentation, and adoption across workforce planning and reporting processes.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, training, or certifications and 4+ years of HRIS, workform planning, or enterprise analytics systems experience, including hands-on Workday reporting and analytics and direct experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and Workday Prism Analytics.
  • Experience building Discovery Boards and supporting enterprise headcount planning cycles is required.
  • OR Master’s AND 2+ years of similar experience as noted above
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise with Workday Adaptive Planning for workforce and headcount planning, including multidimensional models, sheets, dimensions, assumptions and formulas, versions and scenarios, workflow, security, and plan-to-actual reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise with Workday Prism Analytics, including data ingestion, transformation pipelines, datasets and published data sources, scheduling, validation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and security.
  • Advanced Workday reporting expertise, including business objects and data sources, calculated fields, advanced, matrix, and composite reports, dashboards, Discovery Boards, report security, and performance optimization.
  • Strong understanding of workforce and financial planning concepts, HR data, and data governance, with the ability to reconcile headcount, position, compensation, and organizational data across systems.
  • Working knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT concepts, relational data, and SQL; demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions and communicate insights to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Understands key business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish work.
  • Has strong understanding of processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the work and recognizes downstream impact on other functional areas.
  • Proficient with tools and processes that support work conducted by functional area.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; may mentor or train less experienced team members.
  • Advanced analytical, data management, and Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, configures, administers, and optimizes workforce and headcount planning models in Workday Adaptive Planning, including sheets, levels, dimensions, assumptions, formulas, versions, scenarios, workflows, and user access.
  • Partners with HR, Finance/FP&A, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and HR Business Partners to support annual planning, rolling forecasts, scenario modeling, position reconciliation, and plan-to-actual analysis.
  • Designs, builds, schedules, monitors, and troubleshoots Workday Prism Analytics ingestion and transformation pipelines, datasets, and published data sources that combine Workday and external workforce, financial, and operational data.
  • Performs data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis to ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across source systems and downstream analytics.
  • Maintains data definitions, lineage, technical documentation, refresh schedules, security, and controls for Prism datasets and related analytics assets.
  • Partners with HRIS, IT, Finance, and vendors to gather requirements, design scalable solutions, test releases and enhancements, and resolve data, security, or performance issues.
  • Develops and maintains calculated fields, advanced, matrix, and composite reports, dashboards, and Discovery Boards that deliver actionable workforce and headcount insights.
  • Translates business questions into appropriate data sources, measures, KPIs, prompts, filters, drill paths, visualizations, and distribution methods, with attention to usability and performance.
  • Enables secure self-service analytics through role-based access, report cataloging, governance standards, user documentation, training, and ongoing support.
  • Defines and maintains workforce metrics and data standards and reconciles planned and actual headcount, position, and labor cost measures with HR and Finance stakeholders.
  • Analyzes workforce trends, identifies data quality or process issues, and presents clear findings and recommendations to HR leadership and business partners.
  • Manages intake and prioritization of planning and analytics requests; documents requirements, test results, and operating procedures; and provides cross-functional project leadership.
