About The Position

Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of human resource information systems (HRIS) associated with the collection, retrieval, accessibility and usage of employee information for Human Resource department planning and activities. Maintains internal database files and tables and develops custom reports to meet the requirements of Human Resource management and staff. Works with Human Resources personnel to evaluate HRIS software and hardware needs and may design new or modify existing HRIS to meet changing demands. Often works with payroll and its personnel to coordinate retrieval and reporting functions. May serve as HR department liaison to MIS/IT function.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, training, or certifications and 4+ years of HCM systems experience, including cloud-based system configuration, producing reports that reflect key HR-related metrics and analytics for decision making OR Master’s AND 2+ years of similar experience as noted above
  • Technical expertise with cloud-based HCM solutions (Workday is highly preferred), including highly proficient with module configuration (compensation, performance management, benefits, etc.), reporting, business process setup and documentation, user support, and release review and testing
  • Good understanding of HCM design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with databases tools
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, organizational design, and performance management
  • Demonstrated ability to produce reports that reflect key HR-related metrics and analytics for decision making
  • Possesses a learner-mindset to support changing HCM needs
  • Understands key business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish work
  • Has strong understanding of processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the work and recognizes downstream impact on other functional areas
  • Proficient with tools and processes that support work conducted by functional area
  • Ability to work as part of a team; may train lower levels
  • Excellent computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Administers and ensures the overall integrity and accuracy of the data in Workday in support of the organizations data management and reporting needs
  • Develops procedures for updating, troubleshooting, validating, and correcting employee records or other related HR data in Workday
  • Serves as a liaison between Human Resources and internal Payroll and Information Technology (IT) departments as well as external technical support vendor teams to provide systems support and analysis to leverage technology solutions to meet the needs of HR and users of the HCM system throughout the organization
  • Provides support for HCM systems including, but not limited to, researching and resolving problems, addressing unexpected results or process flaws, performing scheduled activities, recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements, and planning for new applications and functionality to the system
  • Gathers requirements, designs, configures, tests, and deploys Workday functionality
  • Works with Human Resources team and vendors to identify, evaluate and/or design Workday system specifications
  • Provides assistance to HR users with ad hoc reporting tools
  • Serves as first contact to employee inquiries regarding Workday
  • Prepares end-user documentation or training materials as needed
  • Collects data and generates a variety of reports for HR Leadership to reflect key HR-related metrics and analytics
  • Interprets reports which clearly and concisely show key workforce trends and problem areas. Identifies trends or areas that may require further review
  • Supports other teams within HR such as benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, talent management, the HRBPs and HR operations with analytics, reporting, problem solving, case resolution, special projects and other tasks as assigned
