About The Position

The HR Generalist supports site operations by providing guidance and support across key human resources functions. This role partners with leaders and associates to drive employee engagement, recruitment, onboarding, retention, compliance, performance management, and workforce effectiveness in a large healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
  • 1-3 years of HR Generalist, HR Representative, or related HR experience.
  • Strong foundational knowledge across core HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, performance management, and retention.
  • Demonstrated learning agility and growth mindset.
  • Evidence of innovative thinking and process improvement.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience supporting a large, fast-paced workforce preferred.
  • Experience working in a collective bargaining environment preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, and programs while providing guidance to managers and associates.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations, HR assessments, and develop action plans to support compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding activities.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant personnel files and HR records.
  • Support associate recognition, retention, and stay interview initiatives.
  • Partner with managers to ensure timely completion of performance reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports, metrics, and workforce data.
  • Support compliance with company policies, HIPAA requirements, and employment laws.
  • Assist with training, development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement efforts.
