About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Senior HR Generalist to execute day-to-day HR functions at our 24/7 manufacturing facility. You will assist with workforce planning, employee relations, talent acquisition, legal compliance, and payroll while fostering a positive, engaging, and productive workforce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing, food and beverage, or fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth understanding of federal and state labor laws.
  • Proficiency with Ceridian Dayforce and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to navigate active production and warehouse environments while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and slip-resistant footwear.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Candidate must ensure they are legally authorized to work in the location to which they apply.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for employees and operational leadership regarding HR-related inquiries.
  • Investigate workplace concerns, grievances, and policy violations; provide sound recommendations and action plans to leaders.
  • Coach leaders on effective team management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, retention strategies, and communications to foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
  • Ensure employee recognition and pride within the workforce.
  • Build a strong employer brand in the local community through donations, networking, and outreach efforts.
  • Lead hourly and salary staff recruitment for facility.
  • Partner with department leaders to forecast workforce needs.
  • Conduct new-hire orientations, process I-9s, and coordinate comprehensive onboarding programs.
  • Develop strategies to remain a union-free environment.
  • Build strong relationships with staffing agencies to ensure facility is adequately staffed.
  • Ensure strict adherence to employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO, Wage & Hour) and company policies.
  • Lead HR training programs and participate in HR audits.
  • Lead leaves of absence.
  • Lead employee benefits programs such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.
  • Lead payroll and attendance systems for salary staff.
  • Lead attendance system for hourly staff.
  • Maintain data integrity and manage the HR Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Support annual compensation planning, performance evaluations, and talent management processes.
