Sr Fullstack Engineer
About The Position
Fiserv is hiring a Sr Fullstack Engineer for Clover, its cloud-based commerce operating system for small and medium businesses. The role is on the Payments team, which owns the core transaction platform serving hundreds of thousands of businesses globally. The team builds a highly reliable, low-latency transaction engine focused on correctness across payment interactions. The engineer will build and maintain microservices and accessible, responsive user interfaces, modernize the technology stack, and own one or more web applications built with React and TypeScript. The backend includes Java microservices connected to MySQL. Work includes payment products such as hosted checkouts and virtual components, improving the merchant and consumer purchasing experience, designing and building new features, and ensuring production code is stable and well-tested. The role also participates in a shared on-call rotation to investigate and mitigate frontend defects and backend outages.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of working experience building software, with combined experience in a server-side language and front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Knowledge of a single-page application framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience with API design and REST APIs.
- Java development experience.
- Understanding of database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, or NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of automated testing practices.
- Experience designing and implementing new features from the ground up.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the payments domain or with eCommerce solutions.
- Experience with AI platforms.
