About The Position

The Sr Fixed Operations Manager will conduct routine dealership visits to review operations and meet with vehicle sales staff, management, and the Dealer Principal to assess all aspects of sales operations. This role involves routinely reviewing P&S sales reports and financial statements with P&S management to monitor the financial strength of P&S operations and compliance with company standards and agreements. The manager will monitor cash flow, inventory, and capital, questioning accuracy and accounting as needed. They will assist AGM and dealership management to improve financial strength through increased P&S sales and operations, and work with the Dealer Principal to establish Fixed Absorption Rate and ROS goals and plans to achieve them. Additionally, the role includes reviewing and monitoring marketing and advertising plans for dealerships, assessing their effectiveness, and suggesting new marketing programs and techniques with proven results. The manager will demonstrate the potential positive impact of these initiatives on dealerships' financial statements to gain buy-in and support. They will also review P&S sales reports to demonstrate the success or failure of marketing efforts and expenditures, understand other external consultant services used by the dealership, and encourage the use of Nissan/Infiniti approved parts vendors to improve dealer costs and supply. The position requires demonstrating the business case for Nissan/Infiniti programs and advice in comparison, and developing advertising and promotion plans to counter negativity from warranty issues. The manager will educate and enlighten dealership personnel on current incentive programs for customers, sales associates, and the dealership, assisting management with implementation and proper application of programs, and ensuring compliance with rules and requirements for incentive payments. Analysis of reports and sales results to demonstrate programs’ financial impacts on dealerships to management is also a key responsibility. The role involves monitoring parts inventories, understanding dealership tracking systems, and ensuring efficient inventory levels for timely customer service. The manager will ensure service operations are ready to support commercial vehicles, fleet vehicles, electric vehicles, and other specialty lines. Coordination with the Rgl Customer Experience Mgr on the quality of customer interface and service practices in dealerships’ P&S operations, participation in CSS reviews, and addressing identified issues with dealerships are required. Identifying and cloning best practices, developing action plans with dealerships to enhance customer satisfaction and correct poor habits, and monitoring staff performance through real-time technology tools and customer satisfaction scores are also part of the role. Coordination with the Aftersales Development Manager on aftersales training and program implementation, such as Express Service, and monitoring the levels and amount of service staff training and expertise are necessary. Promoting Technician certification training and supporting recognition and achievements are important. The manager will understand sources of customer complaints and address them with management, identify and evaluate human resource issues in dealerships, and advise and assist management with correcting management and staff performance through plans for documentation, feedback, coaching, and training. Recommending staff changes and terminations as appropriate, identifying causes for high staff turnover, and addressing issues with the appropriate level of management are also key duties. The role supports dealership, district, region, and national efforts by presence and assistance at auto shows and special events promoting brands and sales. Assistance with Market Representation related issues and actions within assigned dealerships as requested, maintaining awareness of competing dealerships, and assisting with market information analysis to incorporate market expansion opportunities into assigned dealerships to maximize P&S sales are required. Incorporating the impact of newly opened and closed dealerships into P&S marketing and sales plans to maximize dealership P&S sales is also a responsibility. The manager will understand dealer agreements and required performance and policy compliance, support AGM in documentation and communications on matters of good standing, and may deliver official communications to P&S Managers and Dealer Principals regarding standing as it relates to P&S operations. Understanding "do's and don'ts" when dealing with dealerships on matters of standing and assisting with logistics relating to opening and closing of dealership operations are also part of the role.

  • Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.
