Sr Enterprise Application Engineer - PLM

GE Aerospace•Cincinnati, OH
•Onsite

About The Position

GE Aerospace’s PLM Platform Team runs Teamcenter, the product lifecycle management platform used by engineering and supply chain teams to design, build, and support commercial and military jet engines. The role joins a small team that builds, operates, and upgrades classified Teamcenter environments supporting U.S. defense programs. The work is performed on site every workday in secure facilities in Evendale (Cincinnati), Ohio, and directly supports engineers developing military engines. This hands-on position has broad responsibility for installing, configuring, administering, upgrading, and supporting the platform end to end. The engineer works with architects, developers, cybersecurity, and operations engineers across the wider PLM team. As capacity allows, the role also contributes to GE Aerospace’s global enterprise Teamcenter platform and applies AI and automation to platform deployment and operations. Teamcenter experience is beneficial but not required; experienced enterprise application engineers can learn the platform on the job. The role includes participation in on-call support, cross-training to ensure team coverage, compliance with classified-data and cybersecurity requirements, and use of GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK lean operating model for daily management, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement. The position requires U.S. citizenship, the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance of Secret or higher, and access to U.S. export-controlled information. Employment is contingent on meeting the stated U.S. Person status requirements and, as applicable, successfully completing a drug screen.

Requirements

Military experience is equivalent to professional experience.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience administering, configuring, upgrading, or supporting enterprise applications such as PLM, MES, or ERP systems in a large organization.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments, relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server, and SQL.
  • Experience executing application deployments, patches, or upgrades under a change management process.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visas will not be sponsored now or in the future.
  • Willingness to work on site every workday in Evendale (Cincinnati), Ohio; the role is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
  • Ability to meet the U.S. Person status requirements for access to U.S. export-controlled information: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, or a person granted asylee or refugee status.
  • Ability to work in secure facilities and comply with classified data handling, cybersecurity, and audit requirements.

  • Monitor platform health, performance, and availability; triage production issues involving data, configuration, performance, or security; identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with the classified-environment System Architect and wider PLM development, release, and operations teams to deploy tested solutions and maintain consistent operating practices.
  • Maintain compliance with classified data handling, cybersecurity, and audit requirements, including timely vulnerability remediation and patching.
  • Partner with engineering users to understand their needs, resolve issues, and recommend improvements.
  • Write and maintain runbooks, technical procedures, and documentation of system changes.
