Sr. Enterprise Account Executive, Healthcare

Pointr•Boston, MA
•$230,000 - $280,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Pointr is seeking a Senior Enterprise Account Executive, Healthcare to drive new-business growth within hospitals and health systems. This full-cycle, quota-carrying sales role requires a disciplined sales process (MEDPICC, Solution Selling, or equivalent), experience winning competitive RFPs, and established relationships in the healthcare/health IT industry. The role involves building executive relationships, solving complex customer challenges, and achieving meaningful business outcomes. In addition to net-new sales, responsibilities include managing renewals and expansions within a portfolio of enterprise health system accounts, and collaborating with partners (resellers, consultancies, technology vendors) to support deals and meet new-business targets.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of enterprise, complex B2B sales experience, ideally selling into hospitals, health systems, or other complex healthcare/regulated enterprise environments.
  • Trained and practiced in a formal sales methodology such as MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, and able to apply it rigorously to real deals, not just describe it in an interview.
  • Demonstrated success running full-cycle, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales campaigns, including formal, competitive RFP/RFI responses.
  • Comfort making complex prioritization and trade-off calls across a full pipeline under time pressure.
  • Experience working closely with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing as a coordinated deal team, including through delivery handoff.
  • Willingness to travel to industry conferences and major healthcare events, and to personally generate pipeline rather than working inbound leads only.
  • Excellent forecasting discipline and CRM hygiene.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with multiple stakeholders, including executive-level customers.
  • Experience supporting renewals, expansions, and customer growth initiatives, and comfort being held to a retention/expansion number alongside a new-business number.
  • Strong understanding of customer value, commercial outcomes, and account strategy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, commercial, and operational teams.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Professional fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing network and credibility within the healthcare/health IT industry (hospital administrators, IT/facilities leaders, clinical or procurement stakeholders, or channel/consultancy relationships).
  • Experience managing or growing a portfolio of enterprise health system accounts (renewals, expansion, executive relationship management).
  • Experience working with resellers, consultancies, or technology vendor partners to source or support deals.
  • Familiarity with indoor mapping, location technology, IoT, or healthcare IT/EHR ecosystems.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own and run complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles into health systems and hospital networks, from qualification through close, applying a structured methodology such as MEDPICC or Solution Selling.
  • Lead responses to complex, competitive RFPs/RFIs, coordinating Product, Legal, Finance, and Delivery to build compelling, compliant proposals against tight deadlines.
  • Build and defend a qualified new-business pipeline sufficient to consistently hit an enterprise new-logo quota including rolling up your sleeves to personally prospect rather than relying solely on inbound or outbound-sourced leads.
  • Navigate large buying committees (facilities, IT, clinical, procurement, C-suite) to build multi-threaded champion and economic-buyer relationships.
  • Leverage relationships and credibility within the health IT industry to open doors and accelerate deal cycles.
  • Make complex prioritization calls across a demanding pipeline, sequencing effort across a quarter.
  • Represent Pointr at industry conferences and events, building pipeline and market presence.
  • Partner closely with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Delivery teams to shape solutions, ensure a credible path to value, and hand off closed deals smoothly.
  • Own renewal and expansion conversations within an assigned portfolio of enterprise health system accounts, carrying a gross retention target (e.g., 90%+) and a net revenue retention target (e.g., 105–110%) on the assigned book, protecting and growing existing revenue.
  • Serve as a senior relationship point for existing accounts when strategic or executive-level engagement is needed.
  • Work with resellers, consultancies, and technology vendor partners active in your territory to source and support deals
  • Ensure a clean hand-off and coordinated deal support whenever an opportunity is partner-sourced or partner-influenced.
