About The Position

Apple Services Engineering is seeking a senior engineering program manager for its Cloud Compute Infrastructure team. The role drives complex, cross-functional programs to build reliable, scalable, and efficient compute platforms for Apple’s global services. The manager partners with teams across Apple to provide a rich developer experience for first- and third-party cloud technologies, including cloud provisioning, software lifecycle and deployment observability, service offerings, and solution blueprints. The team builds, maintains, and innovates Apple’s critical cloud compute infrastructure, with a focus on service availability, scalability, security, standards, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development project management in compute infrastructure domains.
• Proficiency and experience delivering projects end to end, from building roadmaps through operational sustainability.
• Proficiency and experience delivering large-scale infrastructure programs and deployments to AWS, Azure, or GCP compute platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies such as virtualization, Kubernetes, databases, object storage, caching, and messaging.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related degree, or related professional experience.
• Knowledge of the SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, development, deployment, testing, and maintenance.
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous end-to-end infrastructure and technical projects and stakeholder communities.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, project management, and technical skills, including execution, prioritization, and risk assessment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to represent work at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, adapt to change, and quickly grasp new technical concepts.
• Ability to work with large developer communities and internal customer teams to gather input and share needs and project status with senior leaders.
• Strong facilitation skills for requirements, design, progress, and status meetings.

Nice To Haves

• Agile project experience with evidence of and ability to demonstrate knowledge.
• SCRUM background and/or experience serving as a Scrum Master.
• 8+ years of proven experience in cloud infrastructure project management.

Responsibilities

• Drive complex, highly cross-functional cloud compute infrastructure programs from roadmap development through operational sustainability.
• Deliver large-scale infrastructure programs and deployments to AWS, Azure, and GCP compute platforms.
• Coordinate multiple simultaneous end-to-end infrastructure and technical projects with engineering teams and their partners.
• Partner across Apple to support developer needs and cloud technology offerings.
• Facilitate requirements sessions, design meetings, progress meetings, and status meetings.
• Work with engineering leads to encourage standard methodologies and processes, including planning, schedule management, Agile practices, and communications.
• Drive prioritization of features and technical roadmaps, and assess execution risks.
• Gather input from developer communities and internal customer teams, and communicate evolving needs and project status to senior leaders.
