Marotta Controls is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development of Special and/or Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for the Power and Control Actuation Systems (PAS) business unit. The applicant should have a background in Electrical or Computer Engineering with demonstrated skills in the development of power supply, motor control, and power distribution unit test systems. Requirements

B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar is required
7+ Experience in Test Engineering / Test Equipment design for power electronics system testing
Experience designing test systems utilizing a Test Console and Interface Test Adapter (ITA)
Must be a US Citizen
Test equipment hardware selection.
Electrical schematic generation.
EEE parts selection.
Software: OrCAD, LT Spice, MS Visio, MS Office

Project planning, monitoring, and reporting
Experience in PCB layout and routing
Software: MS Visual Studio, LabVIEW
Programing Languages: C#, LabView, MS SQL
Data/Communication Types: Analog I/O, Digital I/O, IEEE-488, I²C, SPI, USB, CAN, RS-485/422/232, Serial, TCP/IP, J-TAG

Responsibilities

Design test systems including Test Consoles and Interface Test Adapters (ITA)
Develop Test Equipment System Requirements (TE SRR), Test Equipment Design (TE PDR/CDR), and Test Equipment Validation Procedures/Reports
Ability to use various laboratory equipment (e.g. power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes) and automate testing utilizing said equipment.
Troubleshoot, debug, and diagnose issues with test equipment systems and determine root cause and corrective actions (RCCA)
Perform and complete SDRLs and other documents regarding Test Plans/Procedures, Validation Plans/Procedures, and other related engineering deliverables.
Work with outside vendors and suppliers.
