About The Position

Volt is hiring a Test Engineer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this full-time, long-term contract role, you will assist with equipment setup in test chambers according to customer requirements, verify product testing power requirements and facility needs, review product test plans, compile test results, and complete test reports for submission to customers. You will also assist customers with troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues and verify that appropriate equipment is being used and its calibrations are up to date.

Requirements

• Technical degree related to Electrical Engineering; entry-level candidates are welcome.
• Experience with NFPA 70E, or ability to be trained in it.
• Familiarity with medium- and high-voltage equipment, including 300V DC, 480V three-phase AC, and Arc Flash Level 2 protection.
• Familiarity with NH Research equipment.
• Experience using wire bonders.
• Experience with data acquisition systems.
• Firm understanding of power fundamentals.
• Ability to read complex electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to use common electrical tools to fabricate electrical devices.
• Experience with electrical research and development.
