About The Position

Delta Star Inc. is seeking a skilled and innovative Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to design and engineer medium-voltage mobile power transformers and mobile substations. The position is 100% onsite in San Carlos, California, with relocation benefits available. The engineer designs electrical components for transformers according to customer requirements, project specifications, established design standards, and industry requirements. The role includes analyzing bid specifications, developing new design rules for projects outside the existing product scope, and ensuring designs meet technical and customer expectations. The engineer works with cross-functional teams to align designs with production capabilities and quality standards and provides technical support for design-related challenges during production.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent; foreign degrees are accepted.
A minimum of eight years of dedicated transformer electrical design experience.
Proven expertise in transformer design across all categories, including the ability to check and verify complex designs.
Must live or be willing to relocate within a reasonable, safe commute of the assigned plant location.
Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer for U.S.-based positions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of transformer design principles and industry standards.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
