About The Position

Dedrone, an Axon company and a global leader in airspace defense technology and counter-UAS solutions, is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to develop next-generation cUAS technology from conceptualization through production. The role has full design ownership and visibility to senior executives, and emphasizes electrical system architecture, schematic and circuit design, PCB design, RF and power systems, and system-level testing and verification. The engineer will work closely with product managers, mechanical engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturing teams. The position focuses on architecting rugged, modular mixed-signal systems and scalable hardware platforms that integrate high-speed digital designs, including FPGA-based architectures, analog sensor interfaces, and high-integrity power delivery. The engineer owns schematic development and component selection, oversees PCB layout, and performs electrical analysis and simulation as needed to validate signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC performance, and thermal behavior. The role collaborates with domestic and international stakeholders across engineering, product, and program teams. The role is based in Sterling, Virginia, and follows a hybrid schedule: onsite Tuesday through Friday, with remote work on Mondays unless an approved workplace accommodation applies.

Requirements
