About The Position

News Corp is a global diversified media and information services company focused on creating and distributing authoritative and engaging content to consumers and businesses throughout the world. The company comprises businesses across a range of media, including: news and information services, book publishing, digital real estate services, cable network programming in Australia and pay-TV distribution in Australia. The Workday Technology Leader will assist the SVP, Infrastructure & Enterprise with end-to-end delivery of a major HR Information Systems implementation and process re-engineering project. The ideal candidate must possess strong knowledge of Technology and HR practices, processes and program management and have experience supporting a large, global enterprise. In order to be successful in this role, the candidate will need to gain a firm grasp of the current state and seek creative solutions to satisfy a variety of needs and use-cases.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience, preferably in HR technology and/or HR information systems
  • Experience handling sensitive and highly confidential information
  • Experience with Workday and HR systems
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable processes and technology solutions to drive operational efficiency
  • Highly organized with great follow up skills and ability to manage prioritize multiple competing priorities
  • Experience managing large scale, complex, global projects
  • Collaborative work style with a focus on providing exceptional service to all clients

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical aspects of the implementation and will be a part of planning, design, testing and deployment/support throughout the project
  • Manage the integration architecture and coordinate across internal IT partners and external vendors
  • Lead integration rationalization discussions from the News Corp side and liaise with business unit technology teams and vendors to ensure accuracy and build the future state architecture
  • Lead configuration efforts by the production support teams and provide guidance to ensure optimization
  • Ensure system configuration is done in accordance with internal compliance / audit requirements, cyber security and technology and HR policies
  • Manage User Acceptance Testing process and coordinate with testers across business units
  • Provide support during deployment to all stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders including HR teams, technology, payroll, legal/privacy and compliance
