About The Position

Guy Harvey is a global lifestyle brand founded by artist, scientist, angler, conservationist, and explorer Guy Harvey. Intradeco, the exclusive apparel and headwear licensee, is seeking a dynamic and hands-on sales leader to execute sales strategy, expand distribution, and lead a high-performing sales representative team to elevate the brand. The Senior Director of Sales will drive growth across specialty retail, sporting goods, and outdoor retail channels. This role involves direct account management, building strong relationships with key retail partners, and identifying expansion opportunities through strategic assortments, compelling product storytelling, and market white space. The position also requires leading and supporting a network of independent sales representatives to ensure strong execution and alignment with brand objectives. Travel is expected, approximately 30-50%, to accounts, trade shows, and market trips. This job description outlines the general scope of the position and may evolve.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales, merchandising, or planning within outdoor apparel, sporting goods, fishing, or active lifestyle industries.
  • Proven success driving revenue growth and market expansion across wholesale, retail, and e-commerce channels.
  • Strong experience selling into major sporting goods retailers, department stores, and specialty retailers.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional partners, and execute strategic growth initiatives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Passion for the outdoors and an authentic connection to the outdoor lifestyle consumer and ability to understand the market landscape.
  • Ability to learn the ERP system (SAP) and the B2B system (NuOrder) and navigate retail sales reporting, revenue forecasting, inventory analysis reporting.
  • Proficient in Excel and Power point.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a high-performance sales culture centered on accountability, collaboration, execution, and results.
  • Develop and execute data-driven sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue goals across wholesale channels and key retail partners.
  • Lead the specialty store channel: Partner closely with sales representatives to identify growth opportunities, support territory plans, and drive accountability for results. Travel to regional shows and accounts.
  • Expand and strengthen the pre-book business within the specialty retail channel.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and adjust strategies proactively.
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Merchandising, Planning, and Operations teams.
  • Build and manage partnerships with major retailer accounts such as Bass Pro and Belk, regional accounts, and new accounts.
  • Lead account growth initiatives, including opening new strategic accounts with a long-term partnership mindset.
  • Develop compelling market presentations, including assortments, suggested buys, financial plans, replenishment strategies, and retail marketing initiatives.
  • Review retail sales performance and recommend reorder opportunities and growth strategies.
  • Negotiate assortments, pricing, and marketing agreements to maximize brand and retail performance.
  • Drive strong execution of the Go-to-Market process while fostering collaboration.
  • Partner with Marketing to align sales initiatives with seasonal launches, brand campaigns, and digital & physical growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising and Planning teams by providing retail insights, sales analysis, and product opportunities that support assortment planning and innovation.
  • Work closely with Sales Operations to ensure inventory availability, accurate forecasting, and efficient order fulfillment.
  • Establish and track key sales KPIs and performance metrics, driving data-informed decision making through regular reporting and weekly “read and react” meetings.
  • Build collaborative retail sales, receipt, and gross margin plans with key accounts to support long-term profitable growth.
