About The Position

You'll own how Altera reaches the tens of thousands of customers that direct sales can't cover. You set the outbound strategy and lead the outbound marketing team in carrying it out. The goal is to grow the customer base from about 15,000 to 20,000+. Strategic responsibilities Outbound strategy: Decide which customers, segments and regions to target, and how to split investment across channel, ecosystem, partners, brand and field. Growth engines: Build channel and ecosystem into growth engines, each with its own mandate. Distribution: Own the executive relationship with distributors and set direction for joint marketing plans. Technology partner campaigns: Lead joint campaigns with key CPU, memory, AI/software, EDA, OS and cloud partners to reach new markets and customers. Act as executive sponsor for those partnerships. AI design flow: Make Altera's AI-assisted tools a reason to choose Altera, for both new and existing FPGA users. Market voice: Set brand direction and the company narrative, and make sure flagship events land strategically. Investment: Decide where dollars, headcount and co-marketing funds go, and shift them based on results. Alignment: Partner with product, vertical marketing and planning leaders so Altera goes to market with one voice. Team leadership Build and lead a high-performing outbound marketing team. Set outcomes and hold people accountable. Hire owners, not producers, with AI handling most production work. Keep the team working as one go-to-market motion. Develop leaders and plan succession. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in B2B technology marketing, including demand generation, channel marketing, ecosystem marketing, product marketing, or go-to-market leadership.
  • 7+ years of people leadership experience, including managing and developing senior managers and high-performing teams.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing global marketing strategies that drive measurable customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • 5+ years of experience working with channel partners, distributors, systems integrators, or technology ecosystem partners.
  • Experience leading joint marketing initiatives with strategic technology partners, including semiconductor, cloud, software, AI, EDA, or enterprise technology companies.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multimillion-dollar marketing budgets and making investment decisions across programs, partners, events, and campaigns.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling customer acquisition programs in complex B2B markets.
  • Experience influencing executive stakeholders and aligning cross-functional organizations including product management, sales, engineering, and business planning teams.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with experience establishing goals, measuring performance, and optimizing investment based on business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive relationship management skills.
  • Eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.

  • Master's Degree (MBA or equivalent).
  • Experience within semiconductor, FPGA, EDA, embedded systems, AI infrastructure, cloud computing, or related technology industries.
  • Experience leading global channel and ecosystem marketing organizations.
  • Knowledge of FPGA, semiconductor, AI, and edge computing markets.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled marketing tools, automation platforms, and data-driven customer engagement strategies.
  • Experience supporting rapid business growth, corporate transformation, IPO preparation, or high-growth technology organizations.
