Sr. Director - Business Development Americas

Johnson Controls•Milwaukee, WI

About The Position

The Senior Director of Strategy Development & Origination sits within Johnson Controls’ Global Strategy group at the intersection of enterprise strategy and M&A. This strategy-led business development role shapes where the company should grow across core businesses, adjacent markets, and new lines of business, and builds a proprietary pipeline of opportunities. Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, the role contributes to enterprise and business-unit growth strategies and develops investment theses for priority opportunities. It partners with business-unit leaders, Corporate Development, and cross-functional teams to advance acquisition, partnership, and new-business opportunities from thesis through diligence. The role also builds relationships with prospective targets, partners, and industry experts, and tracks market and competitor dynamics to inform executive decisions.
