About The Position

Exostar is seeking an experienced business development executive to drive strategic growth across the Life Sciences vertical with a focus on pharma and biotech. This role will focus on expanding Exostar’s footprint across the clinical trial ecosystem, while protecting and growing Exostar’s existing Pharma client base. The Business Development executive will leverage industry relationships, market insight, and technical collaboration to identify new opportunities and position Exostar as a trusted partner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in enterprise SaaS sales or business development into Pharmaceutical and Biotech life science organizations, across both the U.S. and European markets.
  • Proven track record of successfully originating and closing new business opportunities within bio pharmaceutical or related regulated industries.
  • Experience operating in high-growth or scale-up environments, with the ability to build and execute go-to-market strategies
  • Experience selling complex, multi-stakeholder solutions within IT, security, compliance and business leaders
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic account growth plans that drive long-term client relationships and revenue expansion
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM), cybersecurity, compliance, or enterprise infrastructure solutions strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and business development tools

Responsibilities

  • Drive enterprise SaaS sales and business development efforts across global pharmaceutical and emerging biotech organizations
  • Protect and grow Exostar’s market position within existing sectors by maintaining strong client alignment and delivering long-term value to strategic accounts
  • Identify and penetrate new customer segments, particularly mid-market and growth-stage biotech/biopharma companies
  • Represent Exostar at industry conferences, events, and partner engagements across the Life Sciences ecosystem
  • Utilize market intelligence tools and business development platforms to identify RFPs, MSAs, etc.
  • Partner closely with marketing, SDRs, solutions consulting, and customer success teams to drive coordinated account strategies
  • Lead the full business development lifecycle, including prospecting, opportunity qualification, pursuit strategy, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
  • Build and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned with growth targets
  • Collaborate with product and leadership teams to inform roadmap priorities based on market feedback and customer needs
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to position Exostar as a leading identity and compliance platform within Life Sciences
  • Travel as required to support client engagement, conferences, and relationship development in both US and Europe.
