About The Position

This role assists the hospital in navigating productivity and supports decision-making for future finances and capital purchases. The analyst will perform financial analysis, data modeling, and data analysis using statistical techniques. They will analyze variances, participate in benchmarking, prepare decision support reports, and perform ad hoc analysis. The role also involves establishing data accuracy, collaborating with ITS, developing training programs, and explaining clinical and quality-based decision support topics.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance, or other Business related degree required (BBA, BSMGT etc)
3+ years of Finance healthcare setting required

Nice To Haves

1 Year of Decision Support experience preferred
CPA - Certified Public Accountant Upon Hire preferred OR
Other relevant certification upon hire preferred (HFMA etc)

Responsibilities

Assist the hospital in navigating productivity and support decision making for the future finances and purchase capital of the hospital
Perform Financial analysis, data modeling and data analysis using statistical techniques.
Analyze variances reported in order to identify the causes and implications.
Participate in benchmarking efforts that will be used to measure and set goals for improving performance.
Prepare and deliver decision support reports to both internal and external customers.
Perform ad hoc analysis and Power Point presentations.
Establish data accuracy and validity derived from a variety of systems.
Work with ITS and other personnel to ensure proper utilization of data.
Develop and lead training programs for new and current users of decision support system.
Explain clinical and quality based decision support application topics.
