Sr. D365 F&O Functional Consultant
About The Position
Avanade Inc is seeking a Sr. D365 F&O Functional Consultant in Pittsburgh, PA to be part of Avanade’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team. In this role, you will collect information, analyze requirements, solve business process problems, and provide technical and operational support to Avanade’s clients who are implementing Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 ERP system (D365F&O). You will coordinate prototyping and configuration of the applicable processes within D365F&O to ensure that the ERP system works with respect to our clients’ needs. You will lead workshops with our clients, consultants, and client leaders to analyze and design solutions and handle gaps in D365F&O detected during prototyping. You will create and refine clients’ business process hierarchies so that functional and non-functional requirements are identified and linked. You will document settings in D365F&O and prepare our clients to use their ERP system, and support our clients with the testing, acceptance and deployment of their ERP system into day-to-day operational use. Periodic travel to client sites (domestic and international) is expected up to 80% of the time. Must live within reasonable commuting distance of Pittsburgh, PA.
Requirements
- At least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or closely related field
- At least seven (7) years of experience as a Sr. D365 F&O Functional Consultant, or in a related position in a technology or IT consulting environment
- 5 years using Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, or Dynamics Lifecycle Services, or Azure Services (i.e. Active Directory, Virtual Machines, or Web Services)
- 5 years performing Application Lifecycle Management using Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Services
- 5 years covering all finance modules within D365 in the ERP finance business domain
- 3 years leading finance workstreams with ownership of supply chain business processes
- 3 years using Microsoft cloud tools to support D365 ERP implementations including Azure DevOps, Dynamics Lifecycle Services and Microsoft 365
- 5 years collaborating with cross-functional teams including technical architects, developers, and business stakeholders to translate finance requirements into scalable solutions
- 5 years running workshops with clients, consultants and client leaders to analyze and design solutions for any application and handle gaps detected during prototyping
