About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Critical Infrastructure Engineer to support a dedicated client account with day-to-day reporting to our Orangeburg, NY office. This role will lead the technical execution of critical facilities operations, construction and renovation projects, and data center infrastructure management. You'll serve as the primary technical liaison between the client, facility professionals, vendors, and cross-functional teams while ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
  • 5-10 years of progressive project engineering experience in commercial real estate or corporate facilities
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety
  • Proven ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Physical ability to navigate construction sites, climb stairs, conduct inspections, and wear required PPE
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with BIM/CAD software and project management platforms
  • Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platforms and processes
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Background in commissioning oversight and punch list management
  • Experience in capacity planning and space management for data center environments
  • Knowledge of data center operations including power, cooling, and infrastructure monitoring

Responsibilities

  • Managing delivery of critical facilities services to the assigned portfolio in accordance with all agreed policies, procedures, and contract scope
  • Conducting field work including onsite electrical equipment assessments, supervision of maintenance activities, setting power meters, and recording measurements on electrical services and equipment
  • Supporting technical and engineering aspects of assigned projects from initiation through closeout, including developing detailed project scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Processing and validating device installations, moves, adds, and changes in the Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platform while maintaining accurate asset tracking and inventory
  • Reviewing design documents, shop drawings, submittents, and specifications for accuracy and constructability while ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards
  • Coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and property management throughout project lifecycles and conducting regular site inspections to monitor construction progress
  • Managing Building Management Systems (BMS) for facility operations and monitoring power, cooling, and rack utilization metrics in data center environments
  • Preparing detailed reports and documentation including maintenance schedules, project status updates, as-builts, warranties, and O&M manuals to ensure compliance and facilitate decision-making
  • Developing and maintaining key relationships with landlords, property management companies, and third-party service providers while serving as primary point of contact for clients and facility professionals
