About The Position

OCT Consulting is seeking a Senior Contract Close-out Specialist with over seven years of experience as a Contract Specialist or Contract Close-out Specialist to support a federal client. The role involves working with an acquisition office, preferably within the Contract and Procurement Series, 1102. Experience can be from federal government employment or as a contractor supporting federal or commercial acquisition offices. Expertise in closing various contract types, including firm-fixed, cost-reimbursement, time and material, labor hour, or hybrid contracts, is required.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of the FAR.
• More than seven (7) years of de-obligation and contract closeout experience of fixed-price and cost type contracts.
• Two years of experience reviewing DCAA Incurred Cost Audit submissions and Incurred Cost Audit Reports.
• Experience using the FAR in the de-obligation and close-out process.
• Experience in handling an aged backlog of contracts that need to be maintained, closed out, tracked, and reported.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting an acquisition office in the Contract and Procurement Series, 1102 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• De-obligation and contract closeout of fixed-price and cost type contracts.
