About The Position

The Client Reporting Manager is a strategic analytics leader responsible for owning the design, development, and delivery of high-impact reporting and data insights for external clients and internal stakeholders. This role serves as a primary analytical partner to Client Success/CIPD, Clinical Operations, and Finance — translating complex healthcare data into clear, actionable intelligence that demonstrates program value and drives informed decision-making. This individual brings strong organizational discipline and project management skills to a fast-paced, client-facing environment, managing competing priorities, reporting timelines, and cross-functional deliverables with precision. They build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and internal partners, communicating proactively and escalating issues appropriately to protect both data quality and client satisfaction. The role requires deep expertise in healthcare analytics, proficiency across modern data engineering tools including Databricks and SQL, and a commitment to continuous improvement of analytical infrastructure and governance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, or a related field
  • Experience as a business or data analyst in a health insurance or healthcare-related environment
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on time
  • Excellent analytical skills and commitment to data quality and customer service; ability to problem-solve independently and escalate appropriately
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization including executive leadership and external clients
  • Must be able to foster a positive, productive work environment with ability to lead, build teams, and motivate staff
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft PowerBI or similar dashboarding tools
  • Proficient in Databricks, Spark SQL, and modern cloud data platform concepts

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare data including claims, medical coding, provider, and member eligibility data, with the ability to analyze program opportunities and resolve complex issues
  • Hands-on experience in SQL, Databricks, or equivalent cloud-based data platforms; comfort working with large-scale Delta Lake or similar environments
  • Proficiency in ETL concepts and data transformation, including sourcing transactional data from internal systems and external partners to produce analytical models and reporting

Responsibilities

  • Define parameters for data queries and aggregation based on business and client requirements
  • Create queries across multiple data sources to aggregate datasets into single, usable analytical outputs
  • Define and document data preparation procedures and pipeline logic
  • Prepare data sources and datasets for access based on business need, ensuring appropriate governance and quality controls
  • Design, document, develop, and deploy data analyses using a variety of computing tools including Databricks, SQL, Power BI, Python, and Excel
  • Assess the credibility and usability of data prior to delivery of reporting results
  • Produce monthly and quarterly client reports highlighting program performance against client service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Maintain and update referential database tables related to client SLAs, historical cost inputs for savings calculations, and other client reporting components
  • Report and manage ROI and savings levels and methodologies for all applicable client programs; distribute monthly and quarterly reporting packages to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage and submit ODAG and other required regulatory reporting in accordance with current layouts and protocols
  • Support internal and external audit reports related to NCQA, IRR, and other client audits
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Data Engineering, and other departments to improve data infrastructure for reporting accuracy, data exceptions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Automate recurring client reporting workflows to improve timeliness, accuracy, and operational efficiency
  • Support Provider Relations and other internal leadership with provider-level reporting and analysis
  • Present program performance and reporting insights to clients and internal leadership in a clear, structured, and audience-appropriate manner
  • Perform ad hoc analyses varying in scope, duration, and complexity
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for client reporting inquiries, managing expectations and communicating proactively on timelines, data issues, and deliverable status
  • Identify, triage, and escalate reporting discrepancies, data anomalies, or client concerns to appropriate internal owners in a timely manner
  • Maintain clear documentation of issue resolution workflows and communicate outcomes back to affected stakeholders
  • Partner with Client Success/CIPD to prepare and support client-facing presentations, Joint Operating Committees (JOCs), and performance summaries
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment on reporting priorities, data definitions, and methodology changes, ensuring all parties are informed and operating from consistent data
  • Manage multiple concurrent reporting projects and analytical workstreams, balancing recurring deliverable schedules with ad hoc requests and strategic initiatives
  • Establish and maintain structured project tracking for reporting timelines, data refresh cycles, and deliverable ownership across the team
  • Proactively identify risks to reporting timelines or data quality and develop mitigation plans before issues impact client deliverables
  • Document workflows, methodologies, and data logic to ensure continuity, auditability, and knowledge transfer within the Analytics team
  • Drive continuous process improvement by identifying opportunities to standardize, automate, or streamline recurring reporting activities
  • Partner with business stakeholders and clients to gather requirements and define effective dashboard and reporting solutions
  • Create, design, and apply data visualization techniques to develop reporting solutions for complex business and client problems
  • Design engaging, user-friendly visualizations and reports tailored for both external clients and senior internal leadership
  • Conduct regular QA reviews of existing dashboards and reports to maintain performance and data quality standards
  • Support development and ongoing refinement of analytical tools and resources within the Databricks/Delta Lake environment
  • Conduct validation of data assets to ensure currency and quality; collaborate with team members to make updates and corrections as needed
  • Work with IT and Data Engineering teams to satisfy Client Analytics data infrastructure needs
  • Partner with business users to support inter-departmental analytics initiatives
  • Collaborate with Client Analytics leadership to develop and reinforce data governance processes and quality procedures
  • Lead hiring, development, and succession planning for direct reports; communicate goals, objectives, accountabilities, and priorities clearly
  • Build and sustain a high-performing team by inspiring, mentoring, and holding staff accountable to a culture of accuracy, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships between the Analytics team and other department leaders, as well as external clients and partners
