About The Position

This position offers both remote and hybrid work locations. Candidates who reside within 50 miles of an office location (West Bend, Madison, Appleton) will be offered a hybrid work schedule. Candidates who are fully remote (beyond 50 miles) may occasionally be asked to travel to an office location for in-person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and corporate events. The Sr. Commercial Trucking/Bodily Injury Claims Representative will investigate and manage complex commercial trucking and transportation claims from initial loss through resolution. This role involves evaluating liability, damages, coverage, and regulatory compliance issues involving commercial motor vehicles. The representative will collaborate with insureds, drivers, attorneys, law enforcement, expert vendors, and repair facilities to determine claim exposure and negotiate settlements. Analysis of accident reports, electronic logging data, driver records, and other evidence will support claim decisions. The role requires handling high-severity and litigated trucking claims while maintaining strong customer service and cost containment practices.

Requirements

  • Experience handling commercial trucking claims
  • Experience handling complex bodily injury claims
  • Strong investigation, coverage analysis, and liability assessment skills
  • Proven negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with attorneys and litigated claims

Nice To Haves

  • MCIEF, AIC, AINS, CPCU coursework, or other insurance education is a plus
