Sr. Channel Marketing Manager
About The Position
The Senior Channel Marketing Manager, reporting to the Director, Product & Channel Marketing, will be based in Apex, NC. This position within the Hand Tools Marketing department is responsible for leading strategic channel marketing efforts in regards to current products and new product launches for assigned region(s). The Senior Channel Marketing Manager collaborates extensively with sales leaders, product teams, and the marketing communication team to drive sales. The Senior Channel Marketing Manager is also responsible for using sales, profit, customer, consumer, and competitor data to develop channel marketing strategies that align with business objectives.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of marketing, sales, or customer service experience or related experience
- Proven ability to deliver data-driven results, analysis, testing and application of findings.
- Credibility to influence and impress at senior level and represent the company in all types of business situations.
- Excellent presenter (internal staff meetings, customer meetings, etc) with strong written and oral communication skills (emails, flyers, conference calls, etc)
- Selling or customer contact; experience with distribution.
- End user work and new product introduction experience.
- Strategic planning experience.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations.
- Very hands-on – able to dive into and manage the details, as well as provide overall strategic thinking and leadership.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field preferred
- Experience in initiating and building mutually beneficial marketing relationships with third parties and or external partners is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all promotional planning, presenting and execution for US, Canada and Mexico
- Lead development of a thorough competitive and situational assessment of the channel to lead strategic planning and annual marketing planning
- Supervise and drive marketing programs to meet strategic growth objectives and to grow sales among customers (via push programs) and end-users (via pull programs)
- Collaborate with sales team and product team to position products commercially that align with strategic goals
- Work alongside sales, product managers, and marketing communications teams to engineer brand strategies and tactics at the customer level
- Actively seek out and understand distributor and end user VOC through regular contact to shape strategy for the organization
- Lead channel marketing tactical planning with product teams to prepare for launch of new product promotions
- Monitor/track and analyze the effectiveness of programs to lead discussion around course corrections and decision-making
- Present to customers, consumers, and internal clients about brand information and promotions
- Lead product line item reviews to gauge product interest and to gain insight on how to better message the products
