About The Position

The Senior Business Systems Analyst plays a key role in the analysis, design, and development of systems in assigned area(s). Works independently and as a member of a team analyze business processes, identify organizational system needs and design solutions to meet those needs. This role will be involved in new requirements and providing ongoing enhancement of key technologies as well as offering insights, suggesting improvements, and working towards the broader digital transformation objectives of the organization. Partners with the business and IT to support the development, implementation and maintenance of cost-effective technology solutions while focusing on business analysis and project management.

Requirements

High school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate.
Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of business systems analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of business systems analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Intermediate ability with Structured Query Language (SQL).
Skilled in MS Word, PowerPoint and MS Excel at the intermediate level.
Ability to clearly convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
Technologically curious with the ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 10% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Nice To Haves

Master's in Computer Science or Information Systems.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Mathematics.
6 years of business systems analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Advanced ability with Structured Query Language (SQL).
Demonstrated experience developing requirements and testing integrations between enterprise software solutions using middleware tools; Mulesoft or Dell Boomi are strongly preferred.
Experience with JSON, REST APIs and tools such as Postman or Insomnia.
Proficient with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP).
Experience translating business processes into clear system requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Intermediate level experience with formal modeling tools such as UML, flow charts, sequence diagrams or informal modeling tools like Figma.
Skilled at gathering requirements and eliciting feedback via stakeholder analysis, developing use cases and building mockups or prototypes.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Knowledgeable of various systems architectures including cloud computing, client-server, webbased, service oriented. Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Heroku experience strongly desired.
Knowledge of relational database design fundamentals.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Experience interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to resolve conflict and manage customer expectations.
Experience with TCP/IP networks, including firewalls, VPCs and DNS.
If Supporting Logistics: Advanced level knowledge of knowledge of transportation and/or warehousing systems such as Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), or Softeon.
Advanced level knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) document trading principles.
Intermediate level knowledge of shipment visibility principles or platforms, including but not limited to Fourkites.
Experience with reporting tools such as Oracle BI publisher or Microstrategy at an intermediate level.
If Supporting Manufacturing: Experience developing requirements and testing integrations between COTs systems using middleware tools such as Mulesoft or Dell Boomi.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP) at an intermediate level; SAP and/or EPS Radius strongly desired.
Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems in a packaging and print environment, specifically Sepasoft, AutoCount 4D. Industry 4.0, ISA 95, IIOT strongly desired.
Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management Systems, specifically AutoDesk PLM360.
If Supporting Customer Experience Systems: Salesforce Administrator certification with extensive knowledge of Salesforce systems, applications, and the Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) at an advance level.
Experience managing React-based web applications, particularly customer portals.
Intermediate level experience with Web Content Management Systems (Adobe Experience Cloud).
Intermediate level experience with Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) applications such as SecureAuth.

Responsibilities

Study business functions and gather relevant information in order to identify system requirements and document business needs.
Identify business challenges and system gaps; make recommendations on business system solutions and process updates.
Improve existing integrations, systems and processes by assessing the current environment and recommending alternative, feasible, scalable solutions.
Leads system implementations, supports existing systems, coordinates upgrades, and manages application enhancements.
Lead projects including preparing project-phase plans and implementation schedules, plan and conduct meetings and workshops, and communicate project status reporting to IT management.
Prepares test plans, executes tests, and analyzes results.
Acts as a liaison between the business and the various IT resources.
Writes and maintains a variety of functional and technical documentation for users including scripts for help desk support, configuration guides, system policies and procedures that ensure process and data integrity, and training documentation for system users, and complex configuration guides.
Configure purchased software systems based on user requirements; articulate the capabilities and limitations to users.
Designs software systems based on requirements; designs interfaces between systems; constructs workflow charts and diagrams; studies system capabilities; writes clear specifications.
Develop queries and/or reporting that translate business data from multiple systems into a consolidated format for use in decision making.
