The position's purpose is to analyze moderately complex business objectives and engage closely with stakeholders to define product requirements and ensure the implementation of the product vision. The role owns the end-to-end product strategy from concept to production. The Sr Business Product Owner will research and analyze complex business system issues, develop recommendations to improve processes, and lead meetings to surface issues, identify fixes, and advance projects. They will continuously communicate product objectives, build a backlog of product features ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated, and prioritized, and collaborate with technical teams to build modular and reusable solutions. The role involves simulating and testing process systems improvements considering usability and industry standards, approving each feature, and continuously communicating with technical and business teams to ensure adherence to product vision and to proactively evaluate risks. Additionally, the Sr Business Product Owner will drive sprint and release plans and communicate changes to business teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years of product management experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Deep knowledge of specified product domain and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Experience with UM intake or prior authorization workflows (including intake channels, routing, or turnaround management).
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards and integrations (FHIR, HL7, X12, APIs, EHR systems).
  • Exposure to automation and advanced tools supporting UM (rules engines, AI tools like NLP or RPA, auto-approval capabilities).

  • Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Agile Coach experience preferred.
