About The Position

Lumen Solutions Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to develop advanced dashboards, optimize data models, and deliver actionable business insights. The role requires hands-on expertise in Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Power Platform, along with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead technical delivery while mentoring BI developers and analysts. The position is based in Reston, Virginia, with a hybrid work arrangement, and is contract-to-hire.

The analyst will develop and optimize complex Power BI reports and dashboards, write complex SQL queries and stored procedures, design database tables and star schemas, and integrate Power BI with SQL Server, AWS, Cloudera, and SharePoint. The role also includes building solutions with Power Apps and Power Automate, gathering business requirements, explaining reporting logic, translating business needs into insights, and managing deliverables and deadlines.

Requirements

• 8–11+ years of experience.
• Advanced Power BI, DAX, data modeling, RLS, and deployment pipelines.
• Strong SQL, SQL Server, complex queries, and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint.
• Experience with data integration across multiple platforms, including SQL Server, AWS, and Cloudera.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, agentic AI, or AI-enabled Power Platform solutions.
• Experience with MicroStrategy or Tableau.
• Healthcare payer industry experience.
• Relevant Microsoft, Power BI, SQL, or AWS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize complex Power BI reports and dashboards using DAX, data modeling, Row-Level Security (RLS), and performance tuning.
• Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures; design database tables and star schemas.
• Integrate Power BI with SQL Server, AWS, Cloudera, and SharePoint.
• Build solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint integration.
• Gather business requirements, explain reporting logic, and translate business needs into actionable insights.
• Mentor BI developers and analysts while independently managing deliverables and deadlines.
