About The Position

National Oilwell Varco, L.P. is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst - Procurement in Houston, Texas. This role will provide Oracle Cloud Functional design solutions for Procurement Streams, configure and support the Oracle Cloud Procurement system with a global footprint and complex system. The analyst will lead troubleshooting and analysis of production issues, including documentation of root cause and configuration changes. Responsibilities include leading efforts for new implementations, enhancements, and production support, collaborating with business partners to identify process efficiencies through system configurations and automation, creating service requests with Oracle and working with developers, DBAs, and Oracle to resolution, developing solutions to leverage Oracle applications functionality for the Oracle Supply Chain Suite of Modules, interpreting and converting data based on business requirements, working with existing systems to track and manage issues and enhancement opportunities, creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts, performing functional testing, understanding and modifying application configuration, and conducting user sessions for requirements and testing.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
Two (2) years of experience in implementing Oracle R12/Cloud ERP
Two (2) years of experience in life cycle Oracle R12/Oracle Cloud Fusion Projects implementations as a Functional Solution Architect or Functional Lead
Utilizing client facing experience, including leading assessments, demos, client pre-sales, solution architecture, functional solution design.

Responsibilities

Provide Oracle Cloud Functional design solution for the Procurement Streams.
Configure and support the Oracle Cloud Procurement system with a global footprint and complex system.
Lead in troubleshooting and analyzing production issues, including documentation of the root cause and configuration changes required to resolve.
Lead efforts for new implementations, enhancements, and production support.
Collaborate with core business partners to identify efficiencies in existing processes utilizing system configurations and automation.
Create service requests with Oracle and work with developers, DBAs, and Oracle to resolution.
Develop solutions to leverage Oracle applications functionality for the Oracle Supply Chain Suite of Modules.
Interpret and convert data based on business requirements and shepherd the data for delivery.
Work with existing systems to track and manage issues and enhancement opportunities.
Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts and performs functional testing.
Understand and modify the Application Configuration as required (includes system setups, flexfields, profile options, etc.).
Conduct user sessions for requirements and testing.
