About The Position

National Oilwell Varco, L.P. is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst - Procurement in Houston, Texas. This role involves providing Oracle Cloud Functional design solutions for Procurement Streams, configuring and supporting the Oracle Cloud Procurement system globally, and leading troubleshooting and analysis of production issues. The position also includes leading new implementations, enhancements, and production support, collaborating with business partners to identify process efficiencies through system configurations and automation, creating service requests with Oracle, and working with developers, DBAs, and Oracle to resolution. The analyst will develop solutions using Oracle Supply Chain Suite of Modules functionality, interpret and convert data based on business requirements, track and manage issues and enhancement opportunities within existing systems, create and execute test plans, and modify application configurations. User sessions for requirements and testing will also be conducted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • Two (2) years of experience in implementing Oracle R12/Cloud ERP.
  • Two (2) years of experience in life cycle Oracle R12/Oracle Cloud Fusion Projects implementations as a Functional Solution Architect or Functional Lead.
  • Two (2) years of experience utilizing client facing experience, including leading assessments, demos, client pre-sales, solution architecture, functional solution design.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Oracle Cloud Functional design solution for the Procurement Streams.
  • Configure and support the Oracle Cloud Procurement system with a global footprint and complex system.
  • Lead in troubleshooting and analyzing production issues, including documentation of the root cause and configuration changes required to resolve.
  • Lead efforts for new implementations, enhancements, and production support.
  • Collaborate with core business partners to identify efficiencies in existing processes utilizing system configurations and automation.
  • Create service requests with Oracle and work with developers, DBAs, and Oracle to resolution.
  • Develop solutions to leverage Oracle applications functionality for the Oracle Supply Chain Suite of Modules.
  • Interpret and convert data based on business requirements and shepherd the data for delivery.
  • Work with existing systems to track and manage issues and enhancement opportunities.
  • Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts and performs functional testing.
  • Understand and modify the Application Configuration as required (includes system setups, flexfields, profile options, etc.).
  • Conduct user sessions for requirements and testing.
