About The Position

This role is a vital part of the AB InBev North American Zone (NAZ) regional Sustainability & Procurement team based in St. Louis, MO. The Business Services Analyst – Procurement plays a key role in enabling efficient, compliant, and value-driven procurement operations across the organization. This position partners closely with procurement, finance, and business stakeholders to analyze spend, optimize supplier performance, support sourcing initiatives, and improve end-to-end procurement processes. The analyst leverages data, systems, and business insights to drive cost savings, enhance service delivery, and ensure alignment with organizational policies and strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • University degree required (business, finance or engineering degree desirable)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a business environment
  • Strong business and financial acumen. Accounting or budget experience desirable
  • Strong analytical skills. Experience with data analysis tools desirable
  • Strong MS-Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with Coupa, SAP or comparable systems desirable
  • Excellent negotiating skills and communication skills
  • Experience working with multiple customer groups, stakeholders and a cross functional team environment
  • Experience influencing and motivating people
  • Ability to build and leverage relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers

Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement of goods and services for Non-Commercial Indirect categories of spend totaling $51M annually. These include Services, Utilities, and Fees.
  • Own all aspects of Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB) for Procurement owned categories, including building the 1-year (1Y) and 3-year (3Y) plans
  • Support Non-Commercial Indirect ZBB routine, including reporting on monthly financial close, providing explanations for variance to budgets, creating spend forecast, outlining risks and opportunities vs. budget, and participating in monthly tracking & monitoring meetings to report on financial performance for the Procurement owned categories
  • Identify, recommend, and implement pricing and consumption cost savings opportunities to deliver against savings objectives
  • Collaborate with Regional and Global procurement teams and act as a point of contact to identify and leverage procurement initiatives to support local business teams.
  • Negotiate payment term improvements with suppliers, reduce inventory for goods, and champion other cash flow improvement initiatives
  • Create and develop new suppliers and manage ongoing supplier relationships through development of supplier performance metrics and evaluation criteria for suppliers and organizing quarterly business reviews with key suppliers
  • Develop and implement category strategies including bringing best-in-class industry insights and analysis, creating business case for consolidation of vendor base and aligning with the broader corporate goals
  • Champion the ABInBev Way of purchasing supporting the use and development of standard procurement practices and procedures and utilizing the 8-step strategic sourcing principles
  • Foster a collaborative relationship between the Procurement organization and key stakeholders of other business units by championing out-of-the-box, innovative, and transformative ideas to support business objectives
