About The Position

As a Sr Biomedical Equipment Technician, you will administer the daily operations of a specific service shop within the organization. You will provide repair, incoming inspection, calibration, and maintenance services for a wide range of medical treatment and diagnostic equipment, helping ensure the functionality and safety of patient care technology. The role requires technical proficiency, organizational skills to manage shop operations, and meticulous care when maintaining complex biomedical equipment. The position may backfill the CE Lead as needed and requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with availability to respond to urgent service needs outside regular business hours and return to the facility on short notice.

Requirements

• Associate-level education in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent military education, graduation from a technical program, equivalent training validated through certifications, or equivalent experience is also accepted.
• At least 5 years of experience servicing technical equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be available for urgent service needs outside regular business hours, including returning to the facility on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Backfill the CE Lead as needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, safety tests, and calibration.
• Repair equipment and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
• Manage work order records and resolve customer service issues.
• Order parts and supplies for equipment servicing.
• Cross-train technicians and collaborate with colleagues.
