About The Position

As a Senior Applications/Systems Sales Engineering Manager (Technical Solutions Consultant (TSC) Manager) here at Honeywell, you will hold a key leadership role within our organization, overseeing a team of highly skilled sales engineers. You will work collaboratively with various departments to promote and sell our intricate application and system solutions. In this role, you will impact on the success and growth of our application and system solutions by developing and executing sales strategies, providing technical expertise, and cultivating strong customer relationships. You will report directly to our Director Sub-Region and you’ll work out of our Houston, TX location on a Hybrid work schedule. This role will require up to 50% travel and does offer relocation assistance to eligible candidates. The TSC Manager leads a team of Technical Solutions Consultants responsible for supporting strategic sales pursuits across Honeywell Process Automation's HCI portfolio. This role drives technical sales excellence by ensuring the organization delivers high-quality solution positioning, customer engagement, competitive differentiation, and technical leadership throughout the sales cycle. The TSC Manager partners closely with Sales, Product Management, Offering Management, Proposal & Estimation (P&E), Operations, Marketing, and Business Leadership teams to accelerate growth, improve win rates, expand solution scope, and increase profitability. The role serves as a key leader in aligning technical expertise with business strategy while developing a high-performing consulting organization. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
10+ years of experience in industrial automation, process controls, digital solutions, software solutions, technical sales, engineering, consulting, or related industries.
5+ years of leadership experience managing technical, engineering, consulting, or sales support teams.
2+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning solutions for Industrial Software applications.
Experience supporting strategic sales pursuits and customer-facing engagements.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration.
Experience within Oil & Gas upstream, midstream and refining, petrochemicals, specialty chemicals, mining, metals and minerals and/or other industrial manufacturing industries like pulp and paper.
Demonstrated success leading geographically dispersed technical teams.
Strong knowledge of process automation, software, digital transformation, and industrial technology solutions.
Proven ability to influence executive-level decision makers and customer stakeholders.
Strong financial acumen including opportunity qualification, margin management, business case development, and forecasting

Responsibilities

Partner with HCI Sales Director to meet / exceed AOP with required Sales to TSC opportunity alignment and accountability.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Technical Solutions Consultants across assigned regions and vertical markets.
Establish clear performance expectations, priorities, and development plans.
Drive talent acquisition, succession planning, onboarding, mentoring, and capability development.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and customer focus.
Support strategic customer pursuits and high-value opportunities requiring executive-level technical leadership.
Partner with sales leaders to develop account strategies and pursuit plans.
Improve opportunity win rates, margin performance, and pipeline conversion.
Ensure TSC engagement on complex, strategic, and high-value opportunities.
Guide development of differentiated customer solutions across Honeywell's HCI portfolio.
Ensure consistent application of best practices for solution architecture, technical positioning, demonstrations, workshops, and customer presentations.
Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
Support technical governance for major proposals and customer commitments.
Build trusted advisor relationships with customers, EPCs, partners, and executive stakeholders.
Participate in executive customer meetings, solution demonstrations, proposal processes, technology roadmaps, innovation workshops, and strategic account reviews.
Represent Honeywell at customer events, trade shows, conferences, and industry forums.
Manage resource allocation and workload balancing across opportunities and regions.
Monitor key business metrics including opportunity support, pipeline coverage, booking performance, forecast accuracy, and team utilization.
Drive operating rhythms including pipeline reviews, resource planning, and organizational reporting.
Identify and mitigate business and execution risks
Partner with Product Offering Management, Operations, Engineering Services, Marketing, and Sales teams to align customer needs with business objectives.
Provide Voice of Customer feedback to influence product roadmaps and innovation priorities.
Support NPI commercialization and market adoption of new technologies and offerings.
