Sr. Android Developer
About The Position
YinzCam is a technology company that develops mobile apps, Connected TV apps, and analytics solutions for sports teams, leagues, events, and venues worldwide. Its products serve more than 200 professional sports teams and leagues and have over 100 million app installs globally. The Sr. Android Developer will lead and implement native development of complete mobile apps and UI-heavy features on the Android platform. The role involves integrating third-party SDKs and working with data from backend APIs. The position is in-office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; it is not remote or hybrid. The developer is expected to contribute significantly to the platform and products within the first month and to be able to work non-traditional hours associated with the sports industry.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of industry experience in native Android application development, including Android memory management, process lifecycle, threads, and thread handlers.
- At least 4 years of industry experience in Java development.
- At least 4 years of industry experience in object-oriented programming, Kotlin, Java, and Git.
- At least 4 years of experience consuming RESTful APIs and interfacing with backend services, including familiarity with JSON, REST, and XML.
- At least 4 years of industry experience translating design mockups (such as Zeplin or Figma) into production-quality Android app interfaces.
- At least 4 years of industry experience integrating third-party SDKs and APIs.
- At least 4 years of industry experience building Android products for a wide range of Android versions, device sizes, and manufacturers.
- A portfolio of apps published in the Google Play Store.
- Willingness and ability to work non-traditional hours in the sports industry.
Responsibilities
