Sr. Analyst, Regulatory Reporting

BMOToronto, ON
CA$61,600 - CA$113,900

About The Position

We are hiring a Senior Analyst, Regulatory Reporting, an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of finance, risk, and data within Basel Capital Reporting. This role offers a unique lens on the balance sheet, focusing on regulatory capital and risk reporting rather than traditional IFRS financial reporting. You will play a key role in producing high-visibility, high-sensitivity reports submitted to OSFI, contributing to public disclosures, regulatory supplementary packages, and financial statement notes. The position is deeply involved in monthly production cycles, with increased intensity mid-month and during quarter-end when collaboration ramps up across teams. You will work with large data sets, reconciling outputs back to the GL, and analyzing secured, unsecured, and guaranteed exposures to ensure completeness and accuracy. Our ideal candidate has strong analytical and technical capabilities, particularly in SQL, Excel (pivots, formulas, macros), and data mining, with a business mindset and curiosity to continuously improve processes. Candidates from financial institutions or accounting firms with regulatory or capital reporting exposure are a strong fit, though a CPA is considered an asset rather than a requirement. This role offers broad exposure across Capital Markets, P&C, Wealth Management, and Risk teams, providing excellent visibility, stakeholder engagement, and growth opportunities. If you’re eager to expand your expertise beyond financial reporting into risk and capital management, this is a highly impactful role at the core of the bank’s regulatory framework.
