About The Position

The Sr. Analyst, Logistics Sourcing & Process Improvement is responsible for the Regional Procurement of all Logistics Services (Land, Storage, Import/Export agents, etc) for Specialties SCM. Uses analytical methods and a variety of tools to understand Logistics operations, processes and activities, and controls or reduces costs. The Sr. Analyst is responsible for data management, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing, recommending, and implementing solutions to solve the problems. The successful candidate must be a self-starter and detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to support and lead multiple projects through implementation and possess a demonstrated track record of achieving results and operational excellence. In addition, the candidate must be able to operate in a highly matrixed environment, communicate with all levels of the organization, influence, and gain commitment, and continuously develop the talent around them.

Requirements

  • BS / BA Degree
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in supply chain procurement related jobs or equivalent
  • Project Management experience in Logistics or Procurement operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to apply analytical tools in a quantitative approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to mobilize resources, influence, and drive change in a complex environment
  • Strong record of achieving results
  • Fundamental business understanding and acumen
  • Possess a strategic mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal / communication skills
  • Ability to work across multiple functional groups and at various levels
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel

  • Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work a rotating shift schedule during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the Supply Chain Procurement process in AMR region: Through activities like assessing business requirements, qualify logistics service providers, conduct competitive bidding, evaluate offers, and award and negotiate contracts.
  • Maintain contract database for all modes in alignment with SABIC documentation retention policy.
  • Monitor vendor spend, prepare regular vendor performance reporting, and conduct benchmarking.
  • Spot Sourcing for Land, Storage, Import & Export Agent and other Logistic Services to satisfy prompt business needs.
  • Minimize overall Supply Chain Risks by conformance with Procurement Policy, upholding EHSS standard and code of ethics with logistics service providers.
  • Drive cost out & process improvement initiatives internally and with our strategic 3PL providers.
  • Partner with Planning, Customer Service and Demand Planning team to identify vital x’s, develop and implement process improvements and control plans to improve key business metrics (DT1P, etc).
  • Manage SCM cost reporting (Distribution, Transportation and Warehousing spend) and develop yearly SCM budget in coordination with the Finance and Logistics team.
