Sr. AI Solution Architect

DigiCert
•$170,500 - $220,000

About The Position

DigiCert is hiring a Sr. AI Solution Architect to embed with business functions—including Sales, Support, Finance, Legal, HR, Procurement, and Marketing—and build AI solutions grounded in how each function works. The role partners with a Senior Business Architect, who owns problem framing and the business case, and a functional operator, who owns adoption. The architect owns solution design, build, launch, measurement, and iteration. This is a delivery-focused role rather than a research or traditional software engineering position, with success measured by production value and a target of three to four production launches per year. The role builds automated workflows, agents connected to systems of record, and AI-native tools integrated into existing platforms. It also helps establish shared AI infrastructure and reusable patterns, enables employees to use AI effectively, and serves as a technical reviewer in DigiCert’s AI intake and governance process. Solutions must address security, compliance, auditability, measurement, and business adoption. The first 90 days include learning the technology stack and governance process, shipping an initial production workflow or agent, beginning a second engagement, launching an enablement service, and presenting measured results to a sponsoring executive.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years building and shipping technical solutions in a business context, such as solutions engineering, business systems, integration, automation, or forward-deployed work.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with LLM-based systems in production or near-production, including agent frameworks, retrieval, tool calling, prompt design, and evaluation design.
  • Working proficiency in Python or JavaScript.
  • Comfort with APIs, webhooks, data pipelines, and authentication, including OAuth, SSO, and role-based access.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft 365, NetSuite, Jira, and modern data warehouses.
  • A track record of working directly with non-technical teams and translating complex or unclear processes into working systems.
  • Judgment in security- and compliance-sensitive environments, including the ability to identify data that cannot leave the organization and design accordingly.
  • Clear written and spoken communication, including the ability to write concise architecture memos for executives.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior forward-deployed, solutions architect, or embedded consulting experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Agentforce, Copilot Studio, AWS Bedrock, Anthropic or OpenAI APIs, or MCP-based tool integration.
  • Experience with intelligent automation or workflow platforms such as Power Automate, Workato, n8n, or UiPath.
  • Exposure to SOX, FedRAMP, or similar control environments.
  • Experience in a security or PKI company, or another business where trust is the product.

Responsibilities

  • Embed with a business function, map workflows, identify opportunities for AI to reduce friction or create capacity, and deliver solutions from discovery through production monitoring.
  • Design, build, launch, measure, and iterate on AI solutions, targeting three to four production launches per year.
  • Build automated workflows, agents, and AI-native tools using DigiCert’s orchestration and platform layer, including Salesforce and Agentforce, Microsoft 365 and Copilot, Slack, AWS, frontier model APIs, and integration tooling.
  • Design agent workflows with retrieval, tool use, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop review.
  • Choose appropriately between vendor AI tools, configuration, and custom development.
  • Partner with IT, Security, and Engineering to design shared production-agent foundations for model access, identity and permissions, data connectivity, logging and observability, and evaluation.
  • Lead the technical aspects of vendor evaluations and proofs of concept, and turn successful solutions into reusable patterns.
  • Create employee enablement services such as templates, guided workflows, and office hours; coach power users and support business ownership of deployed solutions.
  • Serve as the technical reviewer in the AI intake and governance process; assess data exposure, security posture, and feasibility, and recommend a build path.
  • Ensure AI deployments are safe, auditable, and consistent with DigiCert security and compliance requirements, including FedRAMP-adjacent constraints where applicable.
  • Instrument solutions with a baseline, metric, and dashboard, and feed results into the company AI measurement program run with the CFO.
  • During the first 90 days, learn the stack and governance process, shadow the current pod, review intake requests, ship a first production workflow or agent, begin a second engagement, launch an enablement service, and present measured first-launch results to the sponsoring executive.
