About The Position

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Senior Advanced Lifing and Fracture Mechanics Engineer to support new product development and legacy designs by developing and applying lifing methodologies for conventionally manufactured and additively manufactured components. The role conducts fatigue and damage tolerance analyses in collaboration with component designers, applying fracture mechanics and specialized software such as NASGRO, DARWIN, and FRANC3D. It also involves data analysis, mechanical testing, lifing methodologies, and completing analyses in accordance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements. The engineer provides technical input on material characterization test plans for metallic and non-metallic materials. The position reports to the Mechanical Design Engineering Manager and is based at Honeywell Aerospace's Phoenix, Arizona site on a hybrid schedule. New hires must work onsite Monday through Friday for the first 90 days. Applicants must be U.S. persons, or able to obtain export authorization; the company is not sponsoring work visas. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States full-time.
