About The Position

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Senior Advanced Lifing and Fracture Mechanics Engineer to support new product development and legacy designs by developing and applying lifing methodologies for conventionally manufactured and additively manufactured components. The role conducts fatigue and damage-tolerance analyses with component designers, applies fracture mechanics, and uses specialized software including NASGRO, DARWIN, and FRANC3D. It also involves data analysis, mechanical testing, and completing analyses in accordance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements. The engineer will provide technical input on material-characterization test plans for metallic and non-metallic materials. The position is based at Honeywell Aerospace's Phoenix, Arizona site on a hybrid schedule. New hires must be prepared to work onsite Monday through Friday for their first 90 days. The position reports directly to the Mechanical Design Engineering Manager.
