KBR’s Intel Division is seeking a uniquely experienced Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Chantilly, VA providing skilled support to the highest levels of our IC customers leadership.

Requirements

  • Vested experience in space and ground Acquisition Office(s) with Major System Acquisitions (MSA), Special Interest Acquisitions (SIA), and Experimental Research Demonstrations (ERD).
  • Expert knowledge of enterprise architectures and missions, Acquisition, IC Mission Partner interfaces, DoW (A&S) and Oversight roles and interactions, launch, etc.
  • Must have executive-level communication skills and be a self-starter.
  • Must be able to write executive summaries and actions in a technically accurate, concise, accurate manner.
  • Can very comfortably brief and/or capture content at the executive levels (Government Directors, agency heads, Sec Def, CEO’s, etc).
  • Must have excellent meeting/note taking/presentation skills.
  • Experience with executive level protocol procedures.
  • Experience with TIER action tasking/tracking system.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Active TS/SCI with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, STEM or related
  • 15+ years of related experience with Masters. 17+ with Bachelors

Nice To Haves

  • Management level military or acquisition experience preferred, specifically DAWIA Level III in Program Management.
  • Experience to support the Office of the Director (ODIR) preparations for acquisition forums such as Joint Intelligence Acquisition Boards (JIAB), Advisory Boards, ASCs, Program Status Reviews (PSR), and other forums
  • Experience applying subject matter and administrative expertise in reviewing and updating acquisition policy, planning, and processes in support of the customer’s Corporate Secretariat
  • Experience with Acquisition Strategies and Plans
  • D&O Director’s Action Group (DAG) experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Acquisition support to senior government executives.
  • Provide technical and management experience/knowledge in space and ground acquisition programs and processes, especially with respect to major milestone review planning and execution such as Acquisition Review Boards (ARB), Acquisition Boards, National Intelligence Acquisition Boards (NIAB) with Oversight with supporting artifacts (VAR, IPA, ICE, etc).
  • Plan and execute MSAs, SIAs, and ERDs in accordance with customer directives.
  • Review highly technical Program Office data packages and write executive summaries for Director, Corporate Secretariat (CS) to pre-brief program materials, status, issues, and actions to leadership.
  • Coordinate, analyze, recommend, and provide responses to acquisition related or program IG reports.
  • Coordinate responses to internal and external inquiries/forums pertaining to acquisition policy, processes, strategies, and issues.
  • Work closely with Protocol Office for DV parking, seating charts, 1-on-1 office calls, etc.
  • Execute many TIER actions in support of major acquisition review planning.
  • Anticipate/resolve issues in a high-visibility, dynamic, constantly changing environment.
  • Reprioritize tasks frequently, be in alignment with Government priorities, and deliver.
  • Meet short suspense timelines.
