About The Position
This position requires creating and managing standalone SQL databases proficiently. Also, this position requires the ability to identify and triage issues, perform server maintenance, execute software installations and patching, maintain High Availability (HA) systems and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols. Need to have the ability to work independently, collaborate within and across division teams, and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
Requirements
- U.S Citizen
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in SQL.
- Professional SQL certifications required.
- Experience in SQL, SQL Server, SQL Clustering, SQL Scripting, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
Responsibilities
- Designs and automates Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Designs backup policies and tests Disaster Recovery (DR) and Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR).
- Plans and leads patching cycles.
- Performs systematic performance tuning with metrics.
- Implements and tests High Availability (HA) / Disaster Recovery (DR) failovers.
- Tunes alerts and builds dashboards for monitoring.
- Implements encryption and auditing for security and compliance.
- Develops robust automation and IaC.
- Leads troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for incidents.
