About The Position

Firetrol is seeking a Sprinkler Project Manager to join its fire protection team in Austin, Texas. The role will support an industrial manufacturing client on a project estimated to last one year, with a possible extension. The position oversees construction and small service projects, from reviewing contracts and project documents through coordinating work, monitoring progress, managing risks, and reporting job status. The Project Manager serves as a liaison among contract sales representatives, the department manager, subcontractors, customers, engineers, and field foremen.

Requirements

At least 10 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation and service.
At least 3 years in project management roles.
Strong familiarity with NFPA 13, NFPA 20, NFPA 25, and FM Global Standards.
Comprehensive understanding of fire sprinkler design principles, including wet, dry, preaction, and deluge systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Oversee and direct construction and small service projects.
Review contracts, specifications, and bid drawings for execution of assigned projects.
Review projects in depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
Select tools, materials, and equipment, and track inventory.
Meet contractual performance conditions.
Review work progress daily.
Prepare internal and external reports on job status.
Work effectively with a wide variety of people while handling multiple priorities, project duties, and responsibilities.
Maintain highly organized records and manage project documents.
Identify project discrepancies and assist with solutions.
Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
Serve as a liaison among contract sales representatives, the department manager, subcontractors, customers, engineers, and field foremen.
