About The Position

Spr Outpatient Rehab II at MercyOne Genesis will oversee daily operations and staff assignments, assuming interim administrative responsibility in the manager's absence. This role provides clinical direction, completes staff performance reviews, and assists the manager with budget development, analysis of budgetary performance, productivity management, and identification of supply needs. The position also supports recruitment, hiring, new staff orientation, and corrective action processes. Additionally, the Spr Outpatient Rehab II ensures staff compliance with clinical skill development, competencies, and state practice guidelines, assists with performance improvement activities, data collection/analysis, and project design. This role facilitates and operationalizes departmental and institutional policies and procedures, aids in preparation for regulatory compliance, helps identify and implement program development needs, and represents the Rehabilitation department on committees. Direct patient care is also a component of this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy; Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy or related field
  • Licensed or eligible for state license
  • More than 2 years experience required
  • Basic Life Support within 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operation and staff assignment and assumes interim administrative responsibility in the event of the manager's absence
  • Provide clinical direction as well as completes staff performance reviews of direct patient care staff
  • Assist manager in budget development as well as analysis of budgetary performance and variances, as well as productivity management
  • Assist manager in the identification of need for the procurement of supplies
  • Assist manager in recruitment and hiring of staff, new staff orientation, and implementation/follow through with the corrective action process
  • Assist manager in ensuring compliance of staff with identified clinical skill development, competencies, and state practice guidelines
  • Assist manager in performance improvement activities, data collection/analysis, and project design
  • Facilitate and operationalize departmental and institutional policies and procedures
  • Assist manager in preparation for the compliance with regulatory agencies
  • Help identify program development needs and assists in implementation
  • Assist manager in representing the Rehabilitation department on departmental and hospital wide committees as deemed appropriate
  • Provide direct patient care
