About The Position

Physical Therapist working in outpatient therapies with focus on treating a patient population with orthopedic conditions (spine, extremities, post-op total joint, and post-op sports arthroscopic). Works closely with the Therapy team, Physiatry Physicians, and Orthopedic Physicians to deliver patient centered care.

Requirements

Licensed Physical Therapist (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of Washington
BLS from the American Heart Association
Strong background in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy
Demonstrated vestibular rehabilitation skillset
Working knowledge of Epic electronic medical record system
Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and time-management skills

Nice To Haves

Prior outpatient hospital-based experience
Vestibular certification or advanced training
Ability to float between clinics as needed

Responsibilities

Performs individualized evaluation and ongoing assessment related to the patient’s condition, addressing special needs and behaviors. This will include, but is not limited to, assessment of range of motion, strength, mobility, coordination, transfers, gait and other activities of daily living.
Develops treatment goals, in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team, that are time specific and result in discharge of the patient to his home environment attaining the highest level of function possible.
Develops the treatment plan and revises as necessary from the goals set by the interdisciplinary team in coordination with the physician, the patient and the family.
Performs other duties as assigned.
