About The Position

A clinically competent Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for planning, assessing, interpreting and implementing treatment programs according to the need of age specific categories of patients and as medically prescribed for our inpatient and/or outpatient patients. Effectively interacts and communicates with patients, families, and other health team members, according to the principles, ethics, practices and standards of professional therapy practice. Family Health Center Rehab is a multidisciplinary clinic that provides a wide variety of PT, OT, CHT, and SLP services for patients with orthopedic, neurologic, and chronic pain conditions.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
  • CT Physical Therapist (PT) active or temporary license.
  • CPR certification.
  • Works efficiently and organizes time appropriately.
  • Ability to prioritize daily work assignments.
  • Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information.
  • Basic computer skills (including opening/reading email, basic internet use).
  • Proficient skills in windows based software (including word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation programs).
  • Working knowledge of Sate Practice Act and Federal Medicaid and Medicare regulations.
  • Requires the ability to exercise discretion and use good judgment to perform duties promptly and consistently with little direction.
  • Requires high level of analytical ability in order to gather and interpret information from various sources.
  • Able to take the appropriate action in response to changes, circumstances or problems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Vestibular rehab experience is preferred.
